Organic Darjeeling Black Tea: Makaibari Himalayan Spring Special Edition

First Flush teas refer to the initial harvest of the season at a tea garden. These leaves are known for their tender and delicate flavor. Our Darjeeling first flush is a mildly oxidized whole leaf tea. After a period of 3-4 months of dormancy during winter, the first flush leaves emerge as fresh new growth in the spring. This exquisite, limited-batch first harvest is a result of the celestial cycles, alignment, and harmony of the planets and stars. Different areas of the estate in the Himalayas, situated at varying elevations, produce unique first flush yields. The top note of our tea is reminiscent of peach, which provides a pleasant and smooth taste. This is followed by a fruity and floral note, accompanied by a fleeting astringent sensation. All these flavors blend harmoniously to create a refined fruit and floral taste. The cup itself has a light and bright intensity, with a subtle green tea overtone. To steep the perfect cup, simply place 2gm or 1 tsp of tea leaves in a cup, tea infuser, or strainer. Pour hot water over the leaves and steep for 4 minutes. This tea is best enjoyed without adding milk or sugar, allowing its pure flavors to shine through.
